What are the terms and conditions of your tours?

Excursions require a minimum number of passengers to operate. Prices and schedules are subject to change without notice. A 48-hour cancellation notice is required; no-shows at the time of departure will be charged in full and will not receive a refund. All times are approximate. Nassau Helicopters reserves the right to combine different length flights. Group terms may vary depending on booking time and the number of guests. The maximum weight limit per person is 300 lbs. Guests over the weight limit will be required to purchase 2 seats. Children over the age of 2 years old will be required to purchase a seat. Cancellations made 24-48 hours before the scheduled departure time will incur a fee of $50 per passenger. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled departure time, as well as no-shows, will incur 100% of tour charges. Please contact Nassau Helicopters at least 24 hours in advance, and we will reschedule your tour at no additional cost. Late arrivals will be addressed on a case-by-case basis depending on seating and aircraft availability. Reservations made at the heliport the day of the tour forfeit the right to cancel after payment has been made. The scheduled duration of tours vary based on flight routing, airspace restrictions, and weather conditions.Prices are subject to change without notice. Nassau Helicopters reserves the right to refuse boarding to passengers or upgrade passengers at any time. Nassau Helicopters reserves the right to alter or terminate any flights due to any circumstance including weather, security, maintenance, emergencies, aircraft availability, or acts of God.

Can we wait until arriving in Nassau to reserve our seats?

We suggest making your reservation at least two weeks ahead of time so you can ensure the date and time you want is available as we typically sell out. Should you wait until you get in Nassau, we may or may not have seating available.

What’s the best time of day to fly?

Anytime actually, it really just depends on what else you have planned for your day. We offer flights throughout the day. First flight departs at 10 am until 5 pm. Please call if you have a special request for sunrise or sunset rides.

What type of helicopter does Nassau Helicopters fly?

Our company flies the Bell 206L4 helicopter at its Nassau location .The Bell 206L4 is one of the most widely flown helicopter flown in the world and offers the highest level of safety in the industry.

What do I need to bring?

Guests over 18 must bring valid photo identification for check-in. Cameras and video cameras are recommended, as well as sunglasses and sunscreen based on the flight type and the time of year. Comfortable clothing and shoes are highly recommended.

Can a child/minor fly unaccompanied?

Passengers under the age of 18 must be accompanied on the flight by an adult.

Is there a charge if we have to reschedule our tour with Nassau Helicopters?

Yes, we do charge a fee for rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of your flight time. There’s a $50 per person rescheduling fee.

I’m in a wheelchair. Can I still take a helicopter tour?

Yes. To fly and be accommodated, you will need to have a collapsible wheelchair with removable wheels. You must also be accompanied by someone who can assist you with boarding and disembarking the aircraft. We are ADA compliant.

Can I exit the aircraft as soon as it lands?

Passengers are prohibited from touching the doors of the aircraft unless given instruction to do so by the pilot. The pilot will open and close all aircraft doors.

What should we wear?

Comfortable clothing and shoes.

Can I bring a beverage on the flight?

Bottled water is the only beverage allowed to be consumed on the aircraft during flight.

Can I smoke during the tour?

Smoking is prohibited onboard the aircraft and on the ramp.

Can I take pictures of the aircraft?

Personal photography is prohibited on the ramp. Passengers will have the opportunity to take pictures of the aircraft after landing.

What methods of payment are accepted?

We accept cash in US dollars (USD), all major credit/debit cards, and traveler’s checks.

Is flying in a helicopter safe?

Yes!  Flying with Nassau Helicopters in a Bell 206 Longranger helicopter is a very safe experience.  The Longranger L4 is of the Bell 206 Series Jet and Long Ranger aircraft of which thousands have been built.  The 206 helicopters leverage years of experience and incorporate lessons learned in those aircraft over the last 40 years.  The result is technologically safer aircraft that provide a smooth ride, a more powerful engine,  enhanced avionics, and technical flight characteristics that make it a pilot’s dream to operate and fly.  Our professional aviators are factory-trained with thousands of hours in helicopters and certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

What happens if there is bad weather?

Nassau Helicopters will not conduct air tours in bad weather that impacts our safe operation of the helicopter.  If you have any weather concerns, please contact our reservations department at 561-789-4354 which is in contact with Flight Operations at all times regarding hazardous weather conditions.

Are there any other circumstances where my helicopter tour flight would be delayed?

Our goal is to fly you on time or ahead of schedule.  A flight may be delayed due to intermittent weather conditions, a maintenance issue that was unplanned or as a result of some other operational issue beyond our control.  Our Operations personnel will keep you informed and provide you with updates or the opportunity to reschedule should you require that option.

What can I bring on the helicopter?

You are permitted to bring a camera, phone, and glasses/sunglasses aboard the aircraft.  Purses, bags, handbags, camera bags, scarves, hats, and other loose items of clothing will need to stay at the heliport in a private, secure locker.

How is seating in the helicopter arranged?

Seating in the helicopter is arranged by weight and balance to maximize safety and security.  Persons with disabilities will be accommodated accordingly.
